Contact
The best way to reach us is by email. We read everything and reply when a reply is useful.
Email us
Write to hello@howmanytill.com. A plain message is fine, and there is no form to fill in.
Put the page address in your message if you are writing about a page. That helps us find the problem in seconds.
Reporting a wrong date or number
If a date or a count looks wrong, tell us the page, the number you saw, and the number you expected. A screenshot helps, and so does the time zone you were in.
We check each report against the sources listed on the page. If the page is wrong, we fix it and the correction goes live with the next nightly build.
Some differences are not errors. Another site may count today, or use another time zone, so please read how we calculate before you write.
Suggesting a page or a holiday
We add pages when people ask for them. Tell us the question you tried to find and the words you used.
For a holiday, include the country, the date rule and a link to a reliable source. That lets us add it with confidence.
Press, advertising and partnerships
For press questions, write with your outlet and deadline. For advertising or a partnership, say what you would like to do and how it fits readers of the site.
We do not sell sponsored posts or paid links. We decline requests that would put misleading content on the pages.
Privacy requests
To ask about your data, write with the word privacy in the subject. The privacy page explains what we hold, which is very little.
If you want us to confirm that nothing about you is stored, tell us the browser you use. Most of the data the site uses stays on your device.
What to expect
We aim to read every message within a week. We cannot promise a reply to every note, and we do not give legal, financial or travel advice.
If your message is urgent, say why in the subject line. A wrong date on a page people rely on is the kind of thing we move to the top.
Corrections policy
When a report is right, we fix the page and note the change in our records. We do not leave known errors on a page.
If the fix changes a rule, such as a holiday moved by a government, we check every page that uses it. One mistake in a table can affect many pages.
We thank readers who report errors, and we do not need your name to act on a report.
Writing a useful message
The best messages are short and specific. Name the page, say what is wrong and say what you expected to see.
Add the country you are in if the page covers holidays. A day that is public in Texas may not be public in Ontario or Queensland.
If you suggest a source, a link to an official government page is the most helpful.
What we cannot help with
We cannot help with visa dates, tax deadlines, court dates or medical timing. These depend on rules and cases that a countdown site does not know.
For those, contact the office that set the deadline. We are glad to help with the date arithmetic once you know the rule.
We also cannot recover reminders or settings from another device. They are stored only in the browser where you set them.
Accessibility
If a page is hard to read or use with a keyboard or a screen reader, tell us. We want every page to work for everyone.
Say which page and which device or tool you use. We will look at the problem and fix what we can quickly.
Response times and languages
Messages in English are the easiest for us to handle. We can often read other languages, though a reply may take longer.
Replies come from the same address you wrote to. If you do not hear back in two weeks, write again, because messages can be lost.
Sharing a page
Each page has a share button that copies its address. You can send the link to anyone, and the page shows them the count for their own day.
If you want a fixed date in a message, write the date next to the link. The count on the page moves each day, but the date does not.
This is the most common way readers pass on the site, and it needs no sign-up on either side.
Questions people ask
Do you have a phone number or address?
No. The site is run by one person and email is the only way to reach us.
How long does a reply take?
We aim to read every message within a week. A reply may be short, or there may be none if the message needs no answer.
Can you add my event or holiday?
Possibly. Send the country, the date rule and a source, and we will consider it for a future batch of pages.
Can I advertise on the site?
Adverts are sold through Google AdSense. We do not sell direct placements or sponsored posts.
