Terms of use
Last updated October 28, 2026. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Using the site
howmanytill is a free information site. You may read the pages, use the calculators and share links to them for personal and business use.
Please do not use the site in a way that harms it or other people. That includes sending a large number of automated requests, trying to break it, or copying it to run a rival site.
Accuracy
We work hard to make every date and count right, and we test the rules. The site is provided as is, and we cannot promise that every figure is free of error.
Holiday dates can change by government decision, and lunar dates can differ by region. Check an official source before you rely on a date for travel, legal or financial decisions.
No professional advice
The pages give general information, not legal, financial, medical or travel advice. A notice period, a visa stay or a tax deadline may depend on rules that the calculators do not know.
If a mistake would be costly, confirm the date with the organisation that sets the rule.
Our content
The text, design and code of the site belong to us, except for third-party material that is marked with its source. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page.
You may not republish whole pages, scrape the site at scale, or present our content as your own. Facts, such as dates, are not owned by anyone.
Advertising and links
The site is supported by advertising, which is clearly labelled. We are not responsible for the content of adverts or of sites we link to.
Links to third-party sites are for your convenience. They do not mean that we endorse the site or its content.
Limits of liability
Where the law allows, we are not liable for loss that results from using the site or relying on it. That includes missed deadlines and booking errors.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited, such as rights under consumer protection law.
Changes and contact
We may change these terms, and the new version applies from the date at the top. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the site owner is based, to be named here before launch. Questions about them can be sent to hello@howmanytill.com.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site. That means no attacks, no attempts to get around limits and no use of the site to send spam or harmful code.
We may block access from any address that does. We may also change or remove features at any time without notice.
Reminders and notifications
Some pages may let you save a reminder on your device. A reminder is a convenience, and it may not fire if your device is off or your browser blocks it.
Do not rely on a reminder for anything important. Set a second alert in a calendar app as well.
Availability
We aim to keep the site online, but we do not promise that it will always be available. It may go down for updates, repairs or reasons outside our control.
Pages are rebuilt every night, and a rebuild could be late. A late rebuild does not change the count in your browser, which is recalculated when you load the page.
Reporting problems with these terms
If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
If you have a concern about the site or these terms, write to us on the contact page and we will respond.
User content and feedback
The site does not accept comments or uploads. If you send us feedback or an idea by email, you agree that we may use it without payment.
We will not publish your name or message without asking you first.
Governing language
These terms are written in English. If a translation differs from the English text, the English text applies.
Headings are for convenience and do not change the meaning of any term.
Third party content
The site may link to sources and show adverts from other companies. Those companies have their own terms.
Read their terms before you use their services. We do not control them and cannot speak for them.
Questions people ask
Can I link to a page?
Yes. Links are welcome, and so are short quotes that name the page.
Can I copy the numbers or tables?
You can use facts such as dates. Please do not copy whole pages or the site's text and presentation.
Is the site accurate enough for legal deadlines?
It is a guide. Always confirm legal and financial deadlines with the organisation that sets them.
Can the terms change?
Yes. We post the new version here and change the date at the top of the page.
