One weekday or several
One weekday
Good for weekly paydays, rubbish collection and any event that repeats on a set day.

Planning with weekday counts
A weekday count turns a span of dates into a number of repeats. A class that meets every Wednesday has as many sessions as there are Wednesdays in the term.
Gyms, tutors and clubs use it to price a block of sessions. Landlords and employers use it for weekly charges and shifts.
Reading the list of dates
The tool prints each matching date in order. Copy the list into a calendar or a message to check it against your own plans.
Long ranges show the first sixty dates and a note about the rest. The count at the top always covers the whole range.
Paydays and rotas
To find weekly paydays, tick the payday weekday and count from the start of the year. Biweekly payers can halve the result, or list the dates and pick every second one.
For rotas, tick the days that a person works. The count shows how many shifts they have between two dates.
Holidays are not removed here. For that, use the business days calculator.
Ideas for weekday counts
Count Mondays to see how many weekly meetings fit before a deadline. Count Saturdays for a weekend market or a league season.
Tick Monday to Friday to count weekdays without holidays, or tick every day to get a plain day count. The tool treats each box the same way.
A tick on Sunday alone is useful for religious services, family dinners and any ritual that happens once a week.
Biweekly and monthly patterns
The counter lists every date, so you can pick every second one for a biweekly pattern. The first date you choose decides which of the two cycles you follow.
A monthly pattern, such as the first Friday of the month, needs a different approach. Look at the list and choose the first date in each month.
Our weekday count pages show the counts for popular holidays with no setup, and this tool covers the rest.
Checking the dates
The list under the result is the best way to check the count. Scan it against a calendar to confirm that the first and last dates are the ones you expected.
If the first date looks wrong, check the start date and whether the end date is included. A range that starts on a Saturday will skip any weekday before the first Monday.
The same range gives different counts for different weekdays, and that is normal. A span of ten days holds two of some weekdays and one of others.
Limits and tips
The tool accepts dates from 1900 to 2100 and lists up to sixty dates. For longer ranges, the count at the top is still exact.
Swap the dates if you enter them the wrong way round. The tool treats the earlier date as the start either way.
Keep the include box ticked when you count a full year, since December 31 would otherwise be missed.
A few more notes
A short range may hold only one of a weekday, or none. That is a correct answer, and the empty list below the count confirms it.
Questions people ask
Does the range include the end date?
Not unless you tick the include box. The start date is always counted when it is one of your weekdays.
Can I count more than one weekday?
Yes. Tick as many weekdays as you want. The count is the total number of those days in the range.
Why are holidays not removed?
This tool counts the calendar, not the working year. The business days calculator removes public holidays.
How far can the range go?
Dates from 1900 to 2100 are accepted. Longer ranges show the first sixty dates in the list.
