Why the number of Mondays changes each year
A year holds 52 weeks and a single extra day. That day is the reason a fixed date does not stay on the same weekday.
November arrives on a Monday this year. Counting the Mondays before it from tomorrow gives 51.
The leap day is the only thing that breaks the one day pattern. After it, November shifts two weekdays, not one.
The tally shrinks by one as each Monday goes by. When no Monday is left before November 1, the count reads zero.
Using the count for planning
Use the list as a calendar of your own. Each Monday is a point where you can start, check or finish something.
Households can use the number to split chores. Workplaces can use it to set targets for each Monday until November 1.
Note that neither today nor November 1 is counted. If one of them is a Monday and matters to you, add it back yourself.
The mood of a Monday changes as November gets closer. Early on there are many to spare, and near the end each one feels precious.
Count backward from November 1 if that helps. The last Monday before it is the one to protect, and the rest can be flexible.
Use the table as a to-do list. Tick off each Monday as it passes and the remaining count takes care of itself.
Bookmark the page and check it whenever you plan. The figure stays correct as the dates move on.
The count is the same for everyone in the same time zone. Visitors in other zones may see the date move at a different hour.
Keep this page open in a tab and the figure follows your own clock. If you leave it overnight, it will be correct the next morning. The numbers update each day.
The count of Mondays before November changes only once a day, soon after midnight. Between those moments the number holds steady.
Anyone who works a fixed pattern can use the Mondays as a calendar of their own. The list shows each one, with its date and distance.
Planning around the Mondays
Monday, October 25 is the last Monday before November.

Enter the date of your next Monday payday. The planner counts how many come before November 1.
Check your employer's calendar. Some move paydays when they fall on a holiday.
The same count in other years
Each year in the grid starts from the same calendar date. The total depends on where November 1 falls in that week.
Weekday shown is the day November falls on. See November in the next 10 years.
