Why the number of Saturdays changes each year
Fifty-two weeks make 364 days, so a 365 day year leaves one day over. The leftover pushes each date one weekday later than last year.
When April 1 is a Thursday, as it is now, the count of Saturdays up to it comes to 21.
Every fourth year gains a February 29. That extra day doubles the weekday shift for dates that come after it.
Expect the answer to shrink. Each Saturday that comes and goes subtracts one, and the count ends at zero as April 1 arrives.
Using the count for planning
Use the list as a calendar of your own. Each Saturday is a point where you can start, check or finish something.
For a promotion, a handover or a weekly call, the Saturday count shows how many turns remain before April 1.
Remember that the count leaves out today and April 1 itself. If you want to include either one, add one to the number shown.
A Saturday is a handy checkpoint. With April 1 ahead, you can use each one to review what is done and what is left.
Make good use of the final Saturday. It is often the last chance to finish what you need before April arrives.
A weekly habit is easier to keep when you can see the end. The list above shows how many Saturdays remain, so you can pace yourself before April 1.

When April 1 arrives, the page switches to the next one. You can keep using it all year without changing the link.
If a task repeats every Saturday, the count tells you how many turns remain before April. Divide your work by that number to set a fair pace. Check back whenever your plans move.
Weekday counts are handy for deadlines that ignore the weekend. They are less handy for rules that count every calendar day in a row.
Anyone who works a fixed pattern can use the Saturdays as a calendar of their own. The list shows each one, with its date and distance.

Questions people ask
Is April 1 counted as a Saturday?

Is today counted?

Does the count change in another time zone?
Yes, by up to one. Because the day starts at different times in different places, the figure shifts at your own midnight.

How many Saturdays are left in 2026?
That makes 8 for the rest of 2026, the last being Saturday, December 26.
